
Chinese Herbology Workshop
Taught by Elyse Rohrer Budiash, L.Ac, Dipl. OM, MSOM Intro to Chinese Herbology Workshop: Find out why Chinese herbs are incredibly useful for treating pain, gynecological issues (including fertility), stress, and a wide variety of internal medicine issues.
This workshop will cover an introduction to Chinese herbology including a brief history of Chinese herbs, Chinese herbal theory (including Five Element Theory), and some everyday herbs you can use in your daily life by applying these theoretical frameworks. You will learn why ginger might not always be the best herb for a tummy ache and how to think about your body and herbs in a new light. You will even be able to taste some of the herbs we discuss.
About Elyse:
Elyse discovered the power of acupuncture and Chinese herbs about 10 years ago after recovering from a serious illness through the help of Chinese herbs. Now, Elyse makes it her mission to help others who are suffering. She holds a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, NM. She is a licensed acupuncturist in the District of Columbia. Elyse is also nationally board certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbs (Dipl. OM). At her Cleveland Park practice, Cherry Blossom Healing Arts, she practices a mix of Japanese and Chinese acupuncture styles and makes customized herbal formulas for all of her patients!
